Villa Amalia

Villa Amalia is a classical mixture of modern, Mediterranean and international, presenting the inimitable external architectural solutions, combined with the local tradition and natural beauties.

The spot it is situated in has been selected precisely for its uniqueness, inviting for an unprecedented game of extraordinary colours and materials, combining the warmth of wood and hand carved stone, leaving no one indifferent.

It was built in 2014, on private premises with the surface of over 40 hectares, on the foundations of the ancient farm, which in the past century, provided shelter and safety to farmers working in fields and wine yards surrounding the house. It has been fully functional since 2015.

The house is located in the central, rural part of the island, on a hill safeguarding Pokrivenik, one of the most beautiful bays on the island, distant only 30 minutes from Jelsa, surrounded by autochthonous vegetation and centennial pine trees. The walk to the Villa seems to be the journey back to old, remote, forgotten times. Isolation, peace and silence that surrounds it, vouch for a quality rest, both for body and soul, whereas the evening starlit sky represents the view to be long remembered by every guest.

Privacy and luxurious facilities are the main characteristics of this modern villa. Ground floor consists of the entrance, living room and dining room with a modern and fully equipped kitchen, of the master bedroom with the toilet, with another two bedrooms and one spacious toilet. Each bedroom, as well as the living and the dining room, have direct access to the surrounding terraces, melting with the house, extending it, opening the living room to the sky. Many daily activities can be carried out in a specially designed pergola with a large built-in barbecue, outdoor mini-bar and lounge seating, dining al fresco. In front of the pergola in a spacious sun deck with a large swimming pool and outdoor shower. The internal staircase descend to the house basement with the spa and relaxation are: rooms with whirlpool and massage table, fully equipped gym, sauna, WC and a room for socialising with a small wine cellar. There is another large bedroom here, with a toilet and its own separate entrance. Stone plated walkways connect the residential part of the property with the tennis court, with reflectors, to enjoy either a tennis, or a bocce game in the warm summer evenings. There is a seperate studio apartment here, with a kitchen and a toilet.

The property is equipped with the most modern video surveillance and alarm system, providing the additional safety to our guests, as well as with the system of electronic locks for an easier access.

For an active holiday, the guests can choose several activities: jogging, running, tennis, bowling, relaxing in the pool with the counter-current swimming option, or do the relaxing yoga exercises on one of the many terraces. Other activitie,s typical of active holidays include sailing, cycling, big game fishing, scuba diving, sea kayaking, island tours, wine tours, visiting the town of Hvar, Pakleni Islands, Stari Grad or Jelsa, may also be easily organised. The guests are welcome to participate in local famers' acitivites such as fishing, lavender harvesting or olive picking, making olive oil, grape picking, and the like.

Just a few minutes from the building there are numerous hidden coves and pristine beaches with crystal clear water.
