“The hotel is in a very good location - about 5 minutes walk from the centre along a canal and 10 minutes walk from the station the other way. Because of Covid the reception only operates from 8 am to 5 pm. I checked in late, but the instructions I received were clear and easy to follow. The description of the hotel mentioned a bar and hot tub, but both of these were closed - the bar because of the restricted opening hours and the hot tub because of Covid restrictions. Breakfast was available, and there was a reasonable selection of food. The room was clean and tidy - all of the rooms have names not numbers which is a neat feature. I loved the mural above the bed. The only criticism I have is a lack of space for drying out clothes - it does rain quite heavily sometimes. I managed OK, but if there were two of us in the room, there might be problems. ”

Unveiling the Hotel

Hotel do Mercado features elegant and colourful rooms in central Aveiro. The property is just 250 metres from the Fórum Aveiro shopping centre and 190 metres from the riverside.

The guest house’s accommodation is composed of double or twin rooms, all with air conditioning, flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. Some of the units feature a balcony and all benefit from free WiFi access. Walls decorated with paintings allusive to Aveiro are also present in some of the rooms.

Breakfast service is available and is served each morning. The Hotel do Mercado is a 10-minute walk from the city's nightlife area, where guests will find several bars and typical restaurants.

El hotel está en una ubicación muy buena - a unos 5 minutos a pie del centro a lo largo de un canal y a 10 minutos a pie de la estación por otro lado. Por el Covid, la recepción solo funciona de 8 am a 5 pm. Hice el check-in tarde, pero las instrucciones que recibí eran claras y fáciles de seguir. La descripción del hotel mencionaba un bar y una bañera de hidromasaje, pero ambos estaban cerrados - el bar por los horarios de apertura restringidos y la bañera de hidromasaje por las restricciones del Covid. El desayuno estaba disponible y había una selección razonable de comida. La habitación estaba limpia y ordenada - todas las habitaciones tienen nombres en lugar de números, lo que es una característica ingeniosa. Me encantó el mural sobre la cama. Mi única crítica es la falta de espacio para secar la ropa - a veces llueve bastante intensamente. Me las arreglé bien, pero si hubiera dos de nosotros en la habitación, podría haber problemas.
