Air France unveils new First Class

After Etihad has unveiled its new first class "revolutionizing" the standards of flying, French airline Air France unveiled today in Shanghai its new assets.

The new cabin called "La Première" features four individual suites, exclusively on Air France B777-300. Each of these suites gives passengers the opportunity to be partially or fully isolated, to allow maximum privacy in an optimized comfort.

"Our new first class is, among all our new offers, the one which carries the highest commitment to excellence and the French art of traveling. It expresses our desire to recapture and our global ambition. "

With its new standards, Air France sublimates what it calls "the French elegance", inspired by the Haute Couture spirit. To do this, the choice of textures and materials is essential to target the highest quality of comfort. The cabin walls are designed to look like leather to create a cozy atmosphere. Headrests and armrests of the seats are designed in a high quality leather. The chairs are designed to fit the shape of the passenger who will enjoy a personal 24' HD touch screen. The same seats may be converted into a real 2 meter long bed. The space itself is adjustable, to allow the suite to become a working space, a restaurant or a bedroom.

Without going frontally with Etihad, Air France seems confident about the rising power of the Emirati airline. Indeed the type of extremely wealthy clients referred by companies in emerging countries is rare in Europe and North America according to Bruno Matheu, one of Air France managers. The company also believes to be well ranked within the standards of major international airlines.

Still, it will cost you around €12,000 to enjoy the comfort of Air France new first class.
