For the weekend of July 13-15, Paris will come alive with its annual Black Pride. This will be the third edition of the popular festival, and over three days there will be a range of daytime and evening events taking place in different locations throughout the city. The theme for this year is a poignant ‘ode to resilience and brilliance’ of the community.
The event celebrates Paris’ Afro-LGBTQIA+ community and its allies, and aims to empower through various cultural activities. The main objective of the event is to fight racism, homophobia, and AIDS, as well as providing an opportunity for better emancipation and visibility of the community.
For a detailed program, follow the event’s Facebook page, but we can tell you there will be various concerts, cinema screenings, and plenty of new, interesting people to meet. We hope you’ll be getting involved.
