A hotel room in Paris now costs over 200€ a night

Paris really is amongst the most expensive cities in the world, especially now that published its upgraded average price for hotel rooms in Europe. For the first time, a night in a standard double room in a Parisian hotel now costs an average price of 204€, a 26% increase compared to September 2010.

This increase can also be noticed in most big cities in Europe (mainly capitals), such as Madrid (104€), Cologne (125€), Berlin (120€), Brussels (152€), Rome (164€), Barcelona (179€), London (200€) and Venice (285€) where prices have increased by 11% to 58% compared to last year. The only cities not concerned by this tendency are Athens and Dublin, where a hotel night will cost you half the Parisian price.

A few other European cities still remain affordable, mainly in Eastern Europe, as well as Naples (92€) or Seville (97€).
