The 17th edition of the Gay Pride in Brussels, called Belgian pride, will be held from 04 to 12 May, with as highlight the big gay pride parade in the streets of downtown Saturday, May 12 This year's theme "Visible Citizens. I want to be! Do you? ". Ten years after the introduction of gay marriage in Belgium, and after some recent homophobic attacks in the Belgian capital, this gay pride will more than ever focus on the rights of LGBTIQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer , Intersex, ...).
With no fewer than 50,000 participants last year, the gay pride itself as a major event in the capital, or even the entire country. She received the support of this year the city of Brussels which is conducting a deliberate policy to make Brussels the capital's most gay-friendly Europe.
The Belgian Pride remains above all a festive moment. The parade, which will start at 14h from the Place de la Bourse after a minute of silence, through the streets of St Jacques quarter, in the city center.
