Gay Lyon is the 2nd most gay friendly city in France after Paris! The gay life is particularly, with lots of gay bars, clubs, restaurants, shops, as well as gay saunas and cruising bars for all tastes. These gay places are mostly concentrated around Place des Terreaux and the lower slopes of the Croix-Rousse, between the Saone and the Rhone rivers.

Among gay Lyon’s most popular places are Le Cap  Opera, La Chapelle Café or l’Etoile Opera. If you’re searching for a place to dance, you will enjoy a night at the UC (United Cafe), at the Pink's Club or at Lyon’s biggest bi-monthly party La Garçonnière.
