Even though it’s in the desert, there's no shortage of gay bars in Palm Springs. If you’re looking for the best drinking holes and clubs, make sure to head to Arenas Road by the corner of South Indian Drive. An assortment are sprinkled elsewhere in the city, but the highest concentration of Palm Springs gay bars and clubs exist here!

Hunters Nightclub may be the city’s most popular bar. This long-standing joint always has DJs spinning lively Top 40 hits, a variety of sexy theme nights, and happy hours that keep you far past sunset.

Another Palm Springs staple is Toucans Tiki Lounge. On top of having a delicious menu of tropical-themed drinks, the bar has the best drag shows in town on a Sunday. Formerly known as Spurline, QUADZ is a lively video bar that always has its crowds singing, whether it’s the newest music video or an old show tune.

The Barracks is the valley’s classic leather and fetish bar, only a ten minute drive from downtown Palm Springs in Cathedral City. Visitors used to The Eagle chain of national bars will love the kinkier crowd and leather dress code.

Another alternative favorite is the Toolshed, a Levis/leather bar that often has go-go boys dancing while DJs play house and techno. Sunday’s beer bust is popular, as is Thursday’s underwear party.
