HermannStraße is a busy shopping street where you will find supermarkets, bakeries, post office, bank, cinema (most films in original language with German subtitles). A cafe where you can have breakfast, is only 2 houses far.
The underground station Hermannstraße (line U8) is a short walk from the apartment. With the U8 you get without having to change in 5 minutes to the known partydistrict of Kreuzberg in 12 minutes to the famous Alexanderplatz square and to the well-known Hacke'sche Markt market (Weinmeisterstraße station).
In 10 minutes walk you get to the airfield of the former city airport Tempelhof. The airfield has recently been opened as a public park and enjoys great popularity among the Berliners. Also within walking distance there is a swimming pool and another park (Hasenheide) with an open-air cinema and a large, fanciful playground.
