The famous Barcelona's Fat Cat (Gato De Botero) is right opposite front door, right next door (literally) is equally famous gay/mixed bar 'Madame Jasmine' always full of diverse crowd.
Palau Guell museum is two streets away, while a must visit Picasso museum is also walking distance in Gotico quarter some 10 minutes walk.
10-15 minutes walking are a couple famous gay clubs (on the more hardcore side):
Black Hole (formerly Trash): ******** , and
Berlin Dark: ********
Then of course the same 10-15 minutes walk from the house is gay Eixample district with assortment of gay/lesbian bars, clubs, cabarets, cafes - to suit virtually any interest or taste!))
There are of course lots of art galleries in the same Eixample district for those with artsy interests (like I am).
Walking some 10 minutes straight down Rabmla Raval towards water front - you will hit the marina with boats and a huge Barcelona Oceanarium along with shopping center.
To reach Barcelona's city beach (that welcomes all kind of folk be it gay/lesbian, straight, nude etc.) you would need some 25-30 minutes walk as you will need to walk around the marina.
Needless to say, there are restaurant of all kinds around here, so everyone chooses her/his own, I can only recommend a few favorites of mine:
MONROE - a trendy restaurant almost directly across the road a bit to the left - on a small square in front of Caprabo supermarket (where you can get anything you need to eat at home), nice daily lunch menu (from Tuesday) is around 10 euros and quite nice food;
WOK DAO (Carrer de Villarroel, 1) - Chinese buffet restaurant all you can eat, lots of seafood meat etc. - worth trying, about 10 mins walk from the house;
LA FONDA (1 Passatge Escudellers) - across Las Rablas in Gotic area - 15 mins walk from the house - deffo worth visiting - both day and night lots of fixed menu options, lovely Spanish seafood etc. prices are quite affordable plus the ambience is very authentic!
CARPE DIEM (32 Passeig Maritim) -a fab right on the beach restaurant lounge - better do a set lunch menu on midday - would be a half hour walk;
GUIXOT (calle Riereta 8) - couple streets behind our building - a very authentic local cafeteria full of students and local residents - with set menus and good choice of dishes;
BAR La PACIENCIA - across the road from front door a bit to the right - right on the corner of our boulevard - a cozy local bar just across the road from the apartment for an omelette breakfast in the morning or an afternoon/evening drink.
CERA 23 (Calle Cera 23) - 5 minutes walk from the house - one of the trendiest small restaurants in the area - worth one dinner visit.
