Cute, cozy, 1 bdrm apt in hip lower east side of Manhattan to share for short term stays - 1 person only. Good situation for tourist looking for cheap place to stay that is more private and homey than a hostel or someone moving to NY and looking for a home base while you look for something more permanent or someone here for short term work/business.

This listing is for sharing the bedroom - you would be sleeping on a comfy couch in the bedroom. I would be sleeping in the bed. You must be open to sharing place with one other. The apartment is small and not 100% private for all parties, however, definitely a private bathroom.

This has worked out a great many times for me and have met some great people from the all over the world (see reviews).

The apartment is steps to the F train, East Broadway stop and very close, 5 minutes to "hip Lower East Side", Canal/Delancey/Houston streets, where there are many hip bars, restaurants and shops. Apt is clean, has a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV/ A/C, heat, and wireless internet. Apartment is located on 2nd floor of well maintained walk up building. Walking distance to Soho, East Village, Little Italy, Chinatown and very close to Dumbo and Willliamsburg, Brooklyn - one stop on subway.

You will have your own keys and open to come and go as you please. Very laid back, open minded, liberal and creative environment. Clothing-optional okay.

Guest has access to whole apartment.

$40-$50 a night, depending on time of year. No deposit needed. Open to stays from 1 night to 4 weeks, possibly longer, pending availability. Also, no smoking in apartment.

No overnight guests considering the size of apartment and that others would also be there also.
