Welcome to my home in CDMX, a unique loft located between the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods, the location can’t be beaten to explore the city.
In the shared bedroom, you will sleep comfortably with me in a matrimonial bed with a memory foam mattress, high-quality sheets, and 100% cotton duvet. There are USB ports on both sides of the bed so you can charge your devices.
I don't snore, and I sleep very heavily, so it won't bother me if you do! Hey, who doesn't like a pajama party :)
I offer a private room too, but I had a lot of people contacting me who wanted to stay but were looking for a budget option, so why not make a pajama party while on vacation, and share a bed with a cool guy. This is a great option for budget travelers and a great way to spend a fun time with your host.
In the living room, there are two sofas and a large screen TV, and a small balcony for smoking. The TV has all the streaming services you would want to relax and watch a movie. There are plenty of board games too!
The bathroom is always clean and fresh towels every day. The kitchen is small but well-equipped to prepare anything you wish.
There is a weight bench and Bowflex adjustable weights, a MaxiClimber (cardio), and yoga equipment if you wish to exercise while on vacation.
The apartment is clothing optional if you wish to enjoy time at home in the buff.
There is a small dog in the apartment. A pug named Happy. The dog is not allowed in the bedroom.
If you need more privacy, I do offer a private room at a higher price.
About the host:
I am a gay travel writer and I love to meet new people and make sure they have the best time staying with me. I am pretty calm these days, I am now a doggy daddy, so I have responsibilities to the baby. At night you might find me hosting game night with friends (board games) and sharing beers. If you are here on game night, you are welcome to join. Escandón is the most centrally located neighborhood to access the most-visited parts of CDMX.
Walking distance to Condesa: 15 minutes
Walking Distance to Napoles: 15 minutes (World Trade Center)
Walking distance to Roma Norte: 30 minutes (10-minutes on Metro)
Walking distance to Zona Rosa: 40 minutes (10-minutes on Metro) – This is 2.5 miles (4 KM) from the loft. 10 minutes by metro.
In the same block of the apartment, you will find a couple of small stores for snacks, drinks, water, or any quick item you might need. There is a small convenient store one door down from the apartment. There are several cafes within one or two blocks of the apartment. In the evening, street food lines the area for quick tacos, hotdogs, hamburgers, tortas, and more. Some street food in the area is open 24 hours every day, others open in the evening and close at 3 AM.
Every Tuesday, if you are here, there is a large street market in front of the apartment. The market offers everything from fresh fruits and veggies, to freshly made cheeses, tacos, clothes, and even toys. The market opens at 8 AM and closes at 2 PM. The market is a tianguis, which is a market that travels from neighborhood to neighborhood on certain days of the week. The market day in Escandón is on Tuesday.
Just a 5-minute walk from the apartment you will find Mercado Escandón, a traditional farmer’s market open every day. The area around the Mercado offers many shops to find anything you might need. There is also a small park with an outdoor ‘Urban Gym’ that is free to use if you want to catch a little exercise during your travels.
Just a couple of blocks from the house is a large shopping center with many food options and a movie theater. Within a 15 minute walk is the World Trade Center, an area with some shopping, plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a grocery store.
There are several ATM bank machines within a block from the house. The house is situated between two metro stations for easy access to the subway/metro/bus system.
