Hey boys. My husband and myself would love to share our apartment with you on your visit to Cape Town.
This listing is for our single bedroom. Small and compact, but well designed for a solo traveller. The bed is comfortable with 300-thread count sheets, a nice duvet, and extra blankets for the cooler months. There's a fold-down desk for those that need to do a little remote work while they're here. And there's space for hanging clothes and unpacking a bit while you're here. Towels and beach towels are provided, in case you want to head down to Camps Bay beach.
Our place has a stunning view over the ocean, mountain, and beachside suburb of Camps Bay. In total, the apartment has three bedrooms with one bathroom, kitchen and living room (which we'd be sharing with you). There's also a great balcony filled with plants to sit and enjoy your coffee or sundowners while overlooking Camps Bay beach and Lions Head.
As the weather is very moderate year round in Cape Town, our house doesn't have A/C or heating, but we do have fans for summer and a portable heater for winter months. On most nights, you can leave the windows open for a breeze.
We live in the middle of Camps Bay, one of the safest and most beautiful in all of South Africa. From the front balcony, you'll overlook the beach and Lions Head. From the back yard (shared with the apartment block), you'll be staring up at the Twelve Apostles while you enjoy the braai (barbecue area).
It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Camps Bay strip of restaurants and shops. This includes 2 grocery stores, all the luxurious beachfront bars/clubs, Starbucks, Hard Rock Cafe, and places to rent bikes.
5 minute Uber to the heart of Cape Town or to Sea Point. 10 minute Uber to the V&A Waterfront where you can shop, hop a boat to Robben Island, or enjoy the awesome new Modern African Art museum.
There is great hiking nearby that you can reach on foot from the house including Lion's Head, Table Mountain, the Pipe Track, and the Glen Nature Reserve. Beaches within walking distance include Camps Bay, Clifton, and Bakoven, with just a short drive to Llandudno.
It's our favorite place on Earth and we think you'll enjoy it too!
