The Seattle Gaslight Inn was originally built in the early 1900s for Paul Singerman, a prominent Seattle businessman. The home is an excellent example of Craftsman-style architecture, with a wide porch, low-pitched roofline, and overhanging eaves. The interior features rich, dark colors, with oak trim work and paneling. This historic site was granted landmark status by the city of Seattle in 2015.
Besides our seven guest rooms, our inn has a number of common areas for guests to enjoy. Relax by the oak fireplace in our spacious living room, or enjoy a good book in our library.
Outside, you can take walk by our koi pond, or enjoy an afternoon swim in our in-ground heated swimming pool, surrounded by a spacious poolside patio and comfortable chaise lounges.

The Seattle Gaslight Inn is located in Seattle's coolest neighborhood: Capitol Hill. In the late 80s and early 90s, Capitol Hill was the epicenter of grunge music. Today, it's packed with unique art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. (One of our favorite establishments is Bakery Nouveau, the finest French bakery in the city and is only 3-minute walk from the inn.)
Capitol Hill is home to two of Seattle's most popular parks: Volunteer Park, and Cal Anderson Park. Volunteer Park features a conservatory, a water tower with an observation deck, and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Cal Anderson Park has the Waterworks fountain, the Lincoln Reservoir, and Bobby Morris Playfield.
