For lunch from Monday to Friday it is interesting to visit the "Old market of Ortigia", where, among other things, you can taste the excellent sandwiches and cutting boards that prepare the "Caseificio Bordieri", Via Emanuele De Benedictis n. 6 - SR, (ask for the “FANTASIA” sandwich) and the “Salumeria Burgio” Via Emanuele De Benedictis.
For breakfast I recommend "Bar Drago" (Via Maria Politi Lauden n. 1- Syracuse) with a beautiful terrace and a beautiful view of the sea and Ortigia or the "Caffè San Giovanni Sicily" (Via San Giovanni alle Catacombe 11) right in front of the beautiful church of San Giovanni.
Ortigia in the evening is a pedestrian area, to reach it, it is 15 minutes on foot, I recommend you use bicycles, or park your car in "Riva Porto Lachio" (you will also find a restaurant called Read Moon, with very fresh fish) from there in five minutes on foot you are in Ortigia
