Tucked along the peaceful shore of Belgrade Stream, Sunset Chalet is a private, waterfront escape designed for cozy connection and quiet joy. With a hot tub beneath the trees, a warm fire flickering inside, and a playful game room downstairs, it’s the perfect space to unwind and make memories.

Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or enjoying a relaxed family getaway, Sunset Chalet offers a setting that feels both special and deeply comforting. Sunset Chalet is part of a peaceful lakeside property that includes two charming treehouses (SkyView and MoonLight) and our main home, all nestled along the shore of Belgrade Stream. While each space is fully private — with its own hot tub, fire pit, and seating area — lake access is shared via two docks. You’ll have all the space you need to relax, with just enough community feel if you’re traveling with friends or extended family.

Step inside and you’re welcomed by pine-beamed ceilings, soft light, and the quiet presence of the forest just beyond the windows. The upstairs living space is open and warm, with a king bed, queen bed, and a beautiful gas fireplace that adds instant charm—perfect for curling up after a long soak in the hot tub or watching a movie on the 75” ******** Smart TV.

The kitchenette is thoughtfully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, Keurig, mini fridge, dishware, and all the cookware you’ll need. A full-size refrigerator with freezer is available downstairs for your convenience—ideal for longer stays or family meals.

Step out onto your private deck, where your Jacuzzi hot tub waits beneath the trees. Whether it’s your first cup of coffee or a moonlit soak, this is where time slows down and everything feels a little softer.

Downstairs, the game room brings play into the mix—ping pong, foosball, board games, a retro arcade machine, another smart TV, and a second fireplace that adds cozy ambiance to rainy days or quiet nights in. It’s a space designed for connection, fun, and relaxed comfort.

Both levels feature mini split systems to keep the temperature just right—warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and always just the way you like it.

Guests have full access to their own private hot tub, deck, grill, and fire pit. The outdoor space is open and shared, and you’re welcome to enjoy direct access to Belgrade Stream and Messalonskee Lake, along with the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, sandy lake entry, boat dock, swimming, and fishing throughout your stay.

Located in a quiet lakeside neighborhood in Belgrade, Maine, the property offers a peaceful and private setting while still being just a short drive to Augusta, Belgrade Lakes Village, local restaurants, trails, and markets. The area is known for its natural beauty, wildlife, and laid-back atmosphere. Whether you’re exploring the lake or relaxing on the deck, you’ll be surrounded by nature at every turn. You’ll want a car to explore the surrounding area, with easy access to downtown Belgrade, Great Pond, and Augusta. Parking is available right next to the chalet, and most destinations are within a 15–25 minute drive. In the warmer months, you can launch kayaks or a paddleboard directly from the shore. For everyone’s safety, there are exterior security cameras monitoring the outside of the property. There are no cameras inside the home or monitoring any private guest spaces.

Pets Welcome: We welcome your four-legged family members! There is a $195 pet fee, and we kindly ask that you let us know in advance if you’ll be bringing a pet.

To help keep the property enjoyable for all guests, please clean up after your pets both indoors and outdoors, keep pets off the furniture, and ensure they are well supervised during your stay.
