“The hotel is in a very good location - about 5 minutes walk from the centre along a canal and 10 minutes walk from the station the other way. Because of Covid the reception only operates from 8 am to 5 pm. I checked in late, but the instructions I received were clear and easy to follow. The description of the hotel mentioned a bar and hot tub, but both of these were closed - the bar because of the restricted opening hours and the hot tub because of Covid restrictions. Breakfast was available, and there was a reasonable selection of food. The room was clean and tidy - all of the rooms have names not numbers which is a neat feature. I loved the mural above the bed. The only criticism I have is a lack of space for drying out clothes - it does rain quite heavily sometimes. I managed OK, but if there were two of us in the room, there might be problems. ”

Unveiling the Hotel

Hotel do Mercado features elegant and colourful rooms in central Aveiro. The property is just 250 metres from the Fórum Aveiro shopping centre and 190 metres from the riverside.

The guest house’s accommodation is composed of double or twin rooms, all with air conditioning, flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. Some of the units feature a balcony and all benefit from free WiFi access. Walls decorated with paintings allusive to Aveiro are also present in some of the rooms.

L'hôtel est situé dans un très bon emplacement - à environ 5 minutes à pied du centre le long d'un canal et à 10 minutes à pied de la gare de l'autre côté. En raison du Covid, la réception n'est ouverte que de 8h à 17h. Je me suis enregistré tard, mais les instructions que j'ai reçues étaient claires et faciles à suivre. La description de l'hôtel mentionnait un bar et un bain à remous, mais les deux étaient fermés - le bar en raison des horaires d'ouverture restreints et le bain à remous en raison des restrictions liées au Covid. Le petit-déjeuner était disponible, et il y avait une sélection raisonnable de nourriture. La chambre était propre et bien rangée - toutes les chambres ont des noms et pas des numéros, ce qui est une caractéristique intéressante. J'ai adoré la fresque au-dessus du lit. Ma seule critique est le manque d'espace pour faire sécher les vêtements - il pleut assez lourdement parfois. Je me suis débrouillé, mais s'il y avait deux d'entre nous dans la chambre, il pourrait y avoir des problèmes.
