Nestled in the traditional Valais hamlet of Commeire, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Montagne Alternative offers stylish, eco-friendly accommodation in beautifully restored historic barns and mountain chalets. Combining authentic alpine charm with contemporary comfort, it is the perfect retreat for those seeking nature, tranquillity, and inspiration.

A peaceful atmosphere is an essential part of the Montagne Alternative experience. To preserve the serenity of the hamlet and ensure everyone's comfort, guests are kindly asked to respect quiet hours from 10:00 pm onwards.

Breakfast is served daily. Half-board can also be arranged for groups of 10 guests or more upon request.

Each room and barn features a refined blend of natural materials, untreated wood, and contemporary design.

For groups or exclusive stays, three of our restored barns – Six Blanc, Barbey, and Rogneux – can be fully privatized. Each of them offers a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, and several en-suite bedrooms, making them ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, wellness retreats, or corporate events in an authentic alpine setting.

In winter, guests can set off directly from the property for ski touring or snowshoeing adventures. The nearby ski resorts of Vichères–Bavon, La Fouly, and Champex-Lac are all within a 20-minute drive, while the renowned Verbier, 4 Vallées ski area can be reached in around 30 minutes by car.

During the summer, Montagne Alternative is the perfect starting point for exploring the region by e-bike or on foot. Numerous hiking trails begin directly from the property, leading along the spectacular ridgelines of the Val d'Entremont and the Val de Bagnes, with breathtaking alpine scenery at every turn.

Dogs are welcome for an additional charge of CHF 30 per night.
