Welcome to Casa Recreo, a charming king suite apartment located on one of the most sought-after streets in Centro. Just a 7-minute walk to the Jardín Allende and the iconic Parroquia, and very close to San Miguel’s best restaurants, boutiques, and rooftop bars, this apartment is the perfect base for exploring the magic of the city.

The bed features a 3-inch gel foam pillow top mattress for a comfortable night's rest. The bedroom includes a full-size dresser, a separate full-length closet with wooden hangers, an iron, ironing board and a safe. The room is also equipped with floor to ceiling curtains and blackout shades for privacy, air conditioning & heating, plus an additional portable fan and a portable heater.

The living space features a full-size living room and sofa, a flat screen TV with streaming apps, plus a separate desk for working. The apartment includes a full-size kitchen with a stove and oven, cookware and cooking utensils, full-size refrigerator, place settings for 4, wine glasses, coffee mugs, coffee maker, and a full coffee bar with coffee, creamer, sugar and tea. The kitchen also includes a water jug with purified, filtered water.

The apartment also includes Wi-Fi, and an outdoor courtyard with outdoor dining. The courtyard is shared with two other apartments. This apartment is on the 2nd floor with a balcony—just one small stairway up, with about 15 steps. We can provide support if guests need help with luggage.

<b>Traveling with friends or family?</b> Casa Recreo includes three private apartments within the same building—perfect for groups who want to stay close while still enjoying their own space. Together, the units can accommodate 1–6 guests. Contact us directly for availability if you’d like to reserve multiple apartments for your group. Guests will enjoy self check-in with key code access. The apartment is behind a private gate, accessible from the street. Upon entry from the street, you will have access to the private courtyard with patio (shared with 2 other units), where you can access your apartment.

While we do not offer on-site parking, we’re happy to recommend a valet parking service for $100 MXN per hour or $500 MXN per night with advance notice. Casa Recreo sits on one of the most popular, iconic streets in San Miguel de Allende. Very close to popular wedding venues such as the Rosewood Hotel, Casa Cien, Casa Chorro, Sierra Nevada/Belmond Hotel, Hotel Matilda and Parque Juarez. Popular restaurants in the area include La Parada, San Mezcal, El Manatial, The Restaurant, La Unica, Luna Tapas Bar at the Rosewood Hotel, and only a few minutes walk to the Jardin! Just 5-7 minutes from the center of town and the iconic Parroquia. You will LOVE this street! Convenience is at your fingertips, with taxis and Uber just steps away, ready to take you to stores, restaurants, cathedrals, art galleries, and more. Taxis are only $80 MXN pesos to anywhere in town. They are easy to find, just hold your hand up to grab a green taxi. Uber is available here and is easy to use, but please allow additional time to call an Uber, as they move slower here.

We also offer a private car service for trips in or around the city (price depends on destination), and we offer private airport transportation for $900 MXN per person (2 person minimum fee) for transport to and from the airport. Please note: due to the central location near popular wedding venues, you may hear additional music or festivities on weekends. A sound machine is provided to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.

We have a local team of professionals who provide a personalized concierge service to all of our guests. We can help coordinate airport transportation, grocery delivery, maid service, private chef or cooking service, or local experiences such as wine tastings, horseback riding, hot air balloons, cultural tours, and more. And, we have a full-time maintenance team if anything goes wrong during your stay.
