"Joe was very detail-oriented, and that was much appreciated! He made sure I had more than enough info to find the location and easily check-in. He even offered me some parking tips for the area. Joe was very friendly and introduced himself after I had a chance to settle in the room, and we had a nice chat. If you wanna live that "Harry Potter" life, you'll love the cool under-the-stairs bathroom, haha! But seriously, the bathroom was very nice and has a great shower as well as all the essentials (towels, soap, shampoo, etc.). The bed and the room were very comfortable, especially with blackout curtains on the windows - love that! I also appreciated that there was a desk where I could do a little work on my laptop. And the mini-fridge was stocked with flat water and some sparkling water, which I also love. The microwave in the room also came in handy! My stay was in winter, so it was a little chilly, but it was quickly made very comfortable thanks to the little space heater Joe provided. Last but not least... the little dark chocolate that was waiting on the pillow was very yummy! Thanks, Joe! 'Til next time!"

Nous n'avons pas eu beaucoup de temps pour discuter en raison de nos emplois du temps chargés, mais j'ai vraiment apprécié la conversation que nous avons eue ! Tous les aspects du séjour ont été décrits avec précision et étaient parfaits. J'ai également apprécié ma première visite à Eugene... et ce ne sera pas la dernière. "What a relaxing getaway! We had a lovely stay with Chris, who is not only the consummate host but a truly kind, gentle and open soul. As promised, the apartment is a wonderfully cozy space with a great balcony (and swing!), and the neighborhood is surprisingly peaceful — an oasis away from Manhattan bustle. Chris was completely accommodating of our late arrival and made us feel welcome with touches like water and snacks ready to go. Can’t recommend the massage and breathwork enough... by far the highlight of our stay, especially after I ran the Brooklyn Half and needed some of those lower-body knots worked out. Chris really took the time to listen closely to my body, sense intuitively which muscle groups needed the most recovery, and get the pressure and motions just right. The breath work was also a delightful surprise and something we’d never done before — a truly connected, meditative, grounding experience after a tiring weekend of running and travel. We’d originally booked one night... and we were having such a great time chatting, laughing, sharing our stories, and dancing the night away that we decided to extend for a second. We found an amazing connection and a new friend we hope to see again, both here and back home (he’s welcome to visit us on the west coast anytime). Book Chris’s place and experience a totally different side of NYC!"
