"The apartment of Jorge and Eric is just what you see in the pics and more. Surely one of the best places to stay in Mahahual. The apartment has ceiling fans and A/C in each of the rooms, also tv with cable in the three spaces (living room and two rooms). They have everything you could need for cooking, including oven, microwave, and a big refrigerator. Also you can find board games. Everything is clean, and in good conditions. There is also a nice terrace with an ocean view. The only thing to consider is the problem that Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean are facing with sea weed, so, apart from Jorge's and Erik's place, please consider this before booking and check the see weed conditions such as it varies from season to season. Nearby, walking distance, you can find see weed free beaches. Even with seaweed there are a lot of things to do, like going snorkeling or diving, go to other beaches that are naturally protected of the seaweed, or renting bikes and other amenities. Communication with Jorge, Erik and their administrator was excellent. We felt welcome and listened to. We recommend it 100%, and sure thing, we will be back. Wifi was good."

"The best thing about this place is that the host is very helpful and accommodating. In terms of location, it’s right on the beach and in a quiet area. However, there is only 1 restaurant next to the place, so if you are looking for a variety of food options, you won’t find it here. As for the value for the money, I don’t think it is. The place is old and needs repair. The price I paid was a little more than what was offered, which was hard to determine until you are actually there. I only stayed for 2 nights rather than the whole time there because there were several issues I was NOT aware of. First of all, they advertised high speed internet, but that’s only if you are downstairs in the living room. I barely get internet connection and ended up using all of my data plan in 1 night because I didn’t realize the internet connection was lost. Second, if you want hot water, you will need to turn on the shower for at least 5+ minutes, but don’t turn on the sink faucet because the shower would not have water. The water pressure was extremely weak as well. Oh, they don’t have shampoo or anything in the shower either, so bring your own. Finally, there was a storm the second night I was there and the ceiling started leaking water. It was dripping next to the bed the whole night and I couldn’t sleep at all. The host was gracious enough to agree to issue a refund for leaving early."

"Rodrigo est un excellent hôte. Son lieu est facile à trouver et très agréable. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par le sourire de Lolis, son adorable chien. Elle a une belle âme et nous avons apprécié la voir chaque jour. Nous en sommes tombés immédiatement amoureux ! Rodrigo est aussi un gars adorable et formidable ! Il nous a donné de nombreuses recommandations et des conseils. Nous avons visité beaucoup de ses recommandations et elles étaient toutes vraiment bonnes ! La chambre est à un niveau supérieur en utilisant un escalier en spirale. C'est très privé avec votre propre salle de bain et terrasse. Beaucoup de lumière naturelle avec des portes-fenêtres. Nous resterions à nouveau et le recommandons vivement."
