"The apartment was in a terrific central location, with a great variety of places to eat and drink within a short walking distance, many just a block or two away. It was easy to walk up to the bustling Principe Real and Bairro Alto districts or down to Rossio Square, or get anywhere else via the Avenida metro stop (downhill, blue line) or Rato metro stop (a longer but mostly flat walk, yellow line). We enjoyed the neighborhood Indian restaurant and Brooklyn café, and used the nearby drop-off/pick-up laundry place (and if you like, there's a scooter rental just down the block). There's some upscale shopping and dining and a pleasant park on the main street just above (and another park downhill). That said, like much of Lisbon, it's a bit of a climb up from the Avenida metro stop, so just take a cab home if you have bags or you're tired; most cabbies seemed to know the street. The apartment was very clean and charmingly decorated. It was clear that Marta made an effort to make it comfortable and stylish. It was a good amount of room for us two, with a linen closet that was useful for storing luggage and clothes. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen, bathroom, and closet to make our stay comfortable. There was no problem with neighbors or noise from local businesses. A few things took a period of adjustment: the very steep (!) stairs down the the apartment, the lack of windows (although the skylight and light well provided a good amount of light), and the bidet. We did not take advantage of the roof deck just above the apartment. There are orange trees out front, if you can reach the fruit, although we are told they are of a more bitter variety. Marta was super friendly and very responsive to messages. The check-in procedures were a little unclear until the last minute, although we weren't too concerned about that. Turns out there was a key box we didn't know about until we arrived; when we got the code from Marta by phone (she was delayed arriving), turns out the previous tenants hadn't left the keys there (not her fault, of course). The friendly cleaning woman soon arrived and let us in — we were early checking in but Marta was kind enough to verify when the apartment would be free and allow us to drop our luggage and start our day even though it was about to be cleaned. We arrived home from our first day of sightseeing to a kind welcome of a bottle of wine. In all, we would recommend the apartment if you are looking for a basic, affordable, centrally located home base for exploring the city, with plenty of amenities within walking distance and easy access to the metro."

"Les photos de la chambre et de l'appartement correspondent à la réalité. Communication très facile avec David, avec une disponibilité absolue et une réponse rapide. Bien que nous ayons à peine pu profiter de sa compagnie, il nous a donné les informations dont nous avions besoin pour nous rendre au centre sans avoir besoin de déplacer la voiture ; avoir la station de métro à quelques minutes est formidable. Il s'est inquiété de comment nous allions et si nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Très attentif, et nous nous sommes vraiment sentis chez nous, l'appartement est très bien équipé."

"J'ai passé un moment merveilleux chez Tavi. Tout était conforme à la description. Tavi a préparé ma chambre avec tous les détails, nous avons même dîné ensemble. Malheureusement, c'était une visite trop courte. La prochaine fois, j'espère rester plus longtemps. Tavi est intelligent, authentique, digne de confiance, respectueux, jovial : un hôte merveilleux. "Le séjour chez Paolo a été un délice dès le départ. Lui et l'autre personne qui travaille avec lui ont été utiles et accommodants. Ils ont fait tout leur possible pour me mettre à l'aise, et ils communiquaient avec moi régulièrement pour s'assurer que tout allait bien. L'emplacement de l'appartement était parfait, car il était à distance de marche de nombreux excellents bars et restaurants, et en même temps, il était loin du chaos de certains des autres quartiers à proximité. Je recommanderais définitivement un séjour ici."

"Carlos est vraiment gentil. Il aide pour tout. La chambre est calme et chaude en hiver. L'endroit est vraiment près des lieux principaux et de la scène gay (bien que la scène gay ne soit pas vraiment grande)."

"Très bon accueil de Carlos même s il n était pas présent lors de mon arrivée à Porto.. très bons conseils pour les visites...une petite remarque toutefois,les vitres..je sais qu avec les travaux autour ce n est pas facile de les garder clean... rapport qualité prix imbattable... "Appartement idéalement situé en plein coeur de Lisbonne sur une rue très fréquentée notamment en juin avec la st Antoine. La fête rythmera votre séjour avec des nuisances sonores qui ne pourront être compensées qu' avec de bonnes boules quies... jusque très très tôt... le lendemain ... arghhh Au-delà de cela quel plaisir que de côtoyer un pays vivant ou la fête n'est pas un gros mot. L'appartement est bien agencé même s'il manque des rangements et un tir bouchon lol ... Il me semble qu'il faudrait faire en sorte que des capsules de café soient proposées ne serait ce que le premier jour ( critique constructive ). J'ai adoré la disponibilité de Samuel qui nous aura acceuilli à 23h30 ! Quel acceuil ! Top "

"I can go on and on about Angel and Carlos. They are top notch concierges and very welcoming. I heard previous about the one beach town they recommended but not Sesimbra. Each of the places wowed me. A highlight of my stay was being asked to accompany them on their evening dog walk. I saw parts of Almada I would have never visited on my own. The sunset views on an overlook, seeing Lisbon across the river, sipping my Mac cider, & sharing the time was priceless. Carlos is heavy into gardening and has a beautiful, enclosed courtyard with a fine display of various greenery. He rents a large, sunny garden plot a decent walk uphill from their apartment that he proudly showed me, and I eagerly (not literally) ate it all up. So may small and meaningful extras I was not expecting made this two night stay a timeless adventure. Not only would I stay again, but experiencing Portugal from a different perspective has the cogs turning in my head to investigate a move. This plant guy from Green Escape. 8 Patriots Dr is smitten.
