STYLISH ATHENIAN NEST

The Fokionos Negri Avenue, 50 meters away from the building, is one of the most famous ones among Athenian people. Its fame dates from the fifties and sixties where it was the epicentre of the whole city. Today people can still enjoy its pedestrian paths, trees, fountains and plenty of restaurants bars and cafe terrasses. You will enjoy there a tipical athenian experience.

The neighbourhood is also an excellent opportunity to discover some very nice examples of the different architectural styles which flourished in Athens over the years including some beautiful Art Deco and Art Nouveau buildings.

Highly recommended are the local food street markets. Go to Sikinou street on Tuesday morning (100 m from the flat) and to Tinou street on Thursday morning.

Transport: few trolley (electric bus) lines connect Kypselli to other central neighbourhoods. Line 2 and 4 go to Syntagma square. Hop on at the stop called Sikrou, 150m from the flat, at the crossing between Kypselis Street and Sikrou Street.

Note that taxis are very inexpensive in Athens. The ride from Patission Avenue (walk down the flat street until you cross it) to Monastiraki square costs around 5 Eur and lasts 20 minutes. A public transport ticket costs 1,40 Eur.
