À quoi s'attendre

Portugal was under a fascist dictatorship from 1926 to 1974 and through this tour, you are going to see, and feel, how it was to be an LGBT person during this time in history. Three pillars supported the Portuguese dictatorship: God (religion), Homeland (state; government) and family (society) and being different was extremely difficult and a lonely road.
This 3 hour walking tour starts at the Aljube Museum - Resistance and Freedom (an old political prison ), we go next to the Lisbon Cathedral, Largo do Carmo, Bairro Alto and we end the tour in Príncipe Real, Lisbon gay neighborhood. We will address the Portuguese Revolution and how impacted the LGBT community, how Bairro Alto became the bohemian and gay quarter of Lisbon and it s night life (some of the clubs are still open), how HIV/AIDS was lived in Lisbon and how are we, as LGBT community, living today in the seven hills city of Lisboa.

The main purpose of this tour is to bring honor and dignity to all of those who fought and fight for freedom!

Mes passions

I love History since childhood because understanding our past allows us to build a better future and, mainly, gives us freedom.
I grew up as a Jehovah Witness, an extremely homophobic cult, and after moving to Lisbon I met my true self, learned selflove and found freedom. Much of the tour is also my personal experience as a young gay man, discovering a big city, the places I fell in love, my heart was broken and found true love.

Mes diplômes

I am graduated in Tour Guiding and I am taking a History degree
