You’ll be just minutes away from some of Memphis' most beloved spots: - Overton Park, home to the Memphis Zoo, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, and Overton Park Shell (where Elvis gave his first paid performance!). - Overton Square and Cooper-Young, two bustling districts packed with great restaurants, lively bars, coffee shops, and boutique stores. - A short drive or ride-share to Downtown Memphis, Beale Street, FedEx Forum, and the National Civil Rights Museum.\ The neighborhood is walkable and welcoming, with plenty of green space, art, and culture at your doorstep. Also, Fedex is headquartered just 5 miles down the road and planes can be heard going over head every few minutes at specific 20-30 minute periods at specific times during the day or night. It is common almost anywhere in Memphis to hear and see the parade of planes coming through. It is all part of Memphis' sounds and charm.
