“The hotel is in a very good location - about 5 minutes walk from the centre along a canal and 10 minutes walk from the station the other way. Because of Covid the reception only operates from 8 am to 5 pm. I checked in late, but the instructions I received were clear and easy to follow. The description of the hotel mentioned a bar and hot tub, but both of these were closed - the bar because of the restricted opening hours and the hot tub because of Covid restrictions. Breakfast was available, and there was a reasonable selection of food. The room was clean and tidy - all of the rooms have names not numbers which is a neat feature. I loved the mural above the bed. The only criticism I have is a lack of space for drying out clothes - it does rain quite heavily sometimes. I managed OK, but if there were two of us in the room, there might be problems. ”

Unveiling the Hotel

Hotel do Mercado features elegant and colourful rooms in central Aveiro. The property is just 250 metres from the Fórum Aveiro shopping centre and 190 metres from the riverside.

The guest house’s accommodation is composed of double or twin rooms, all with air conditioning, flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. Some of the units feature a balcony and all benefit from free WiFi access. Walls decorated with paintings allusive to Aveiro are also present in some of the rooms.

Breakfast service is available and is served each morning. The Hotel do Mercado is a 10-minute walk from the city's nightlife area, where guests will find several bars and typical restaurants.

L'hotel si trova in una posizione molto buona - a circa 5 minuti a piedi dal centro lungo un canale e a 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dall'altro lato. A causa del Covid, la reception è aperta solo dalle 8 alle 17. Ho fatto il check-in in ritardo, ma le istruzioni che ho ricevuto erano chiare e facili da seguire. La descrizione dell'hotel menzionava un bar e una vasca idromassaggio, ma entrambi erano chiusi - il bar a causa degli orari di apertura limitati e la vasca idromassaggio a causa delle restrizioni dovute al Covid. La colazione era disponibile e c'era una scelta ragionevole di cibo. La stanza era pulita e ordinata - tutte le camere hanno nomi invece di numeri, il che è una caratteristica interessante. Ho amato l'affresco sopra il letto. La mia unica critica è la mancanza di spazio per asciugare i vestiti - a volte piove piuttosto intensamente. Me la sono cavata bene, ma se fossimo stati in due nella stanza, potrebbe esserci un problema.
