Paul·5·Juli. 2025· "This quiet, centrally located, beautifully designed hotel is just a 15-minute walk from Hangzhou's famous West Lake and all of the sights of interest that surround it. The breakfast spread is generous, varied, and tasty, the best I have ever had in any hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful; to ensure smooth communication, download a voice-to-text translation app (and a VPN so that it will function in China) before you arrive in the country if you don't speak any Chinese. (Having said that, just a few phrases in basic Chinese are really all you will need.) The hotel is located just 20 meters away from the entrance to the red No. 1 metro line, which connects with 12 other lines and makes it very easy to reach most areas of the city quickly and cheaply. There are also many snack and convenience stores in the hotel's immediate neighborhood (but because the hotel rooms are all located on floors 6-10 of the building, you will not hear any noise at night). We stayed at three hotels in three cities on our trip and liked this one the best."
