"Joe was very detail-oriented, and that was much appreciated! He made sure I had more than enough info to find the location and easily check-in. He even offered me some parking tips for the area. Joe was very friendly and introduced himself after I had a chance to settle in the room, and we had a nice chat. If you wanna live that "Harry Potter" life, you'll love the cool under-the-stairs bathroom, haha! But seriously, the bathroom was very nice and has a great shower as well as all the essentials (towels, soap, shampoo, etc.). The bed and the room were very comfortable, especially with blackout curtains on the windows - love that! I also appreciated that there was a desk where I could do a little work on my laptop. And the mini-fridge was stocked with flat water and some sparkling water, which I also love. The microwave in the room also came in handy! My stay was in winter, so it was a little chilly, but it was quickly made very comfortable thanks to the little space heater Joe provided. Last but not least... the little dark chocolate that was waiting on the pillow was very yummy! Thanks, Joe! 'Til next time!"

Und David ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er hat mich sogar am Morgen meiner Abreise zum Union Station gebracht. Danke, David, für einen großartigen Aufenthalt!"

"Great place and an awesome room. First, know that this is about 30 minutes further "out of town" from the small town of Pahoa (which itself is 30 minutes or so from Hilo). The back of the property is right up against rain forest, so if you're looking for a nice out-of-the-way spot, you can't get much more out of the way than this. That was exactly what I wanted, and it didn't disappoint, but definitely do your shopping on the way through Hilo or Pahoa before you check in. Second, the garden room is a wonderful experience. If you've never slept in a tent or thin-walled structure in a rainforest before, be aware that it is very loud at night. You'll have birds right on the roof above you as well as a few feet away in the trees competing with all the frogs and birds and other sounds of the night. I've had prior experience with this and actively wanted the "surround sound" experience. For one person, the bed is a nice size; for two, it'd probably be cozy, especially if you're larger individuals. The stairs up were a non-issue for me. The other advantage of the room is that it is on the south side of the building, while the other rooms are on the north side. This meant that if some visitors get a little noisy at night, you're mostly isolated from it all. As this is a clothing optional resort, be comfortable with nudity - and as with most gay-focused c/o places, guys can get a little frisky at times and in shared spaces; it's all polite and friendly, but if that is going to bother you, a c/o B&B likely isn't the best option. It's also not exclusive to any group; there were several women there at various times during my stay, and I actually spent most of a couple days hanging out with one gal, including getting dinner and hitting the beach. The whole atmosphere is just generally relaxed and welcoming. As a final note, Stephen as host was great. He was always ready to supply hiking advice (or even tours if he has the time), give massages, make breakfast, or take care of minor issues."

"Dave ist ein wunderbar Gastgeber und kommuniziert großartig. Das Gelände ist ruhig und wunderschön mit viel zu erkunden und zu genießen. Unser Schlafzimmer war auch sehr schön. Mit all den Bäumen rundherum würde ich gerne im Winter hierbleiben und den Schnee durch die Fenster sehen, während ich am Feuer sitze. Es ist auch nur eine kurze Fahrt nach Saugatuck. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt hier sehr empfehlen."
