Ben·5·Feb. 2026· "Alejandro was a very kind host. On the first night, he took me to see a Carnival show, and on the second, he cooked for me and invited me to dinner with him. He was very flexible with my arrival and departure, and gave me very good advice and answered all my questions. I learned a lot about Montevideo and the old town thanks to Alejandro, and it was fun playing with his energetic dog, Dobby. Also, the apartment is comfortable and quiet, and is well located in the old city and close to the center."

Fred·5·May. 2026· "I had a great experience at Marcelo's! He is very prompt in communicating and getting back with his guests regarding whatever they need. His apartment was accurately described, comfortable and welcoming. He needed to be very patient with me because I am just learning Spanish and could not communicate with him except by using a handheld translator app. But he was so thoughtful, he went way out of his way to introduce a good friend of his to me that speaks English. We hit it off right away, and I hope that Marcelo, his friend Hector and I will continue developing our friendship! Especially as I lean some Espańol! I would highly recommend this host and the hospitality he offers. Thank you, Marcelo!!!"

He gave me great tips for enjoying the city and was always attentive. The room is very comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. Daniel gave us a lot of suggestions about things to do in Montevideo, and gave me advice on how to get tickets for a soccer game to experience the local culture. We stayed in two of the rooms, one with the ensuite bathroom, and the other more spacious room with the larger shared bathroom."
