Since our inception, misterb&b's greatest goal has been to give back to the community by helping ensure a safe travel experience. We believe it’s incumbent upon us to also give back by making a positive difference in the lives of the global gay community.
We are making an annual donation to the organizations listed below. Mister for Good invites you to participate in misterb&b’s efforts to positively impact LGBTQ+ lives globally. OutRight Action International
OutRight Action International serves to advance the rights of LGBTIQ people all over the world. For the past 28 years, OutRight has worked with partners on the ground to advocate for equality, document human rights violations, and secure lives, liberty and freedom for our community. With status at the United Nations, OutRight can raise local issues to the highest levels of governance - and hold global leaders accountable for failing to uphold human rights. OutRight is proud to partner with misterb&b - to ensure that as you enjoy your travels you are also supporting the work to advocate for equality in all the places around the world where its needed.
GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders works in New England and nationally to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation. Each time GLAD argues a case or tackles an issue, we tear down more of the outdated laws and stereotypes that have denied LGBTQ people and people living with HIV basic protections and opportunities in every area of daily life – family, school, employment, housing, government, health care, and beyond.
Immigration Equality is the leading LGBTQ immigrant rights organization in the United States. In over 80 countries around the world, it is a crime or fundamentally unsafe to be LGBTQ. For far too many people, it is impossible to be out and proud. That is why Immigration Equality provides free direct legal services to hundreds of LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants. Because we serve more LGBTQ immigrants than any other organization, we spot patterns and trends that no one else sees. Our experience with the immigration system fuels our advocacy initiatives. Together, our law and policy teams fight every day to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
Formerly known as Urgence Tchechenie, UH was founded in January 2017 to react to the persecutions the LGBT community went through in Chechnya. The initial goal was to shed a light and raise awareness about LGBT racism in this country. The more we got involved in the subjet the more we realized how much could be done. Intolerance towards the LGBT communities is too widespread to limit our action to only one country. That's when Urgence Homophobie was created. We escort all refugees outside of their countries and we help them get aslum in France. We provide accommodations, French classes, Psychological counselling and we help them get integrated into society to start a-new.
Rainbold Society - Maison de la Diversité
Rainbold Society's objective is to design and develop “La Maison de la Diversité” – the Home of Diversity – an inclusive, cross generation co-housing project for the older LGBT community. The project is designed together with the members of “Les Audacieux” association, which provides a program of weekly activities and meetings to the older LGBT community. Fighting against social isolation is something everyone should be concerned with, especially within the LGBT community, this is why Rainbow society envisions a near future where the seniors can live their gay golden years without feeling alone. Le Refuge is the only government-regulated French shelter for LGBTQ+ kids. Le Refuge is present in 18 cities and counts 350 volunteers that everyday fight against homophobia and transphobia victims' isolation and suicide. This association provides social, medical, psychological and legal support to every LGBT individual that has been turned down by their family.
Giving back to the community is not about just about survival, it can also be about thriving, empowering and making a difference. With Mister for Good that's where we're headed.
