Cape Cross beach locally referred to aS Punta Kriz, is a gay cruising beach located just outside the beautiful town of Rovinj, Croatia, on the Istrian Peninsula and the Adriatic Sea. The peninsula is surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, which are great for swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports. It is a popular tourist destination known for its picturesque winding streets, charming houses, and beautiful beaches.
The gay-friendly beach is divided into two sections. Along the coast, on the way to Cape Cross, you'll find the swingers section, with gay and heterosexual beachgoers coming to have some fun in the sun. Continue along the coast for 200 meters, and you will hit Cape Cross, and it is here where specific gay cruising takes place. While the coast is rocky with limited sand, the crystal clear waters and relatively easy access make it a popular spot for gay beachgoers during the warmer months.
Croatia, and the town of Rovinj in particular, is generally considered to be a welcoming and inclusive destination for LGBTQ+ travelers. While attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community may vary among different parts of the country, Rovinj is known to be a particularly welcoming and accepting place. The town has a vibrant and active LGBTQ+ community, and many local businesses, restaurants, and cafes are openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ visitors.
If you are staying in the town of Rovinj, you may be able to reach Cape Cross on foot or by bike, as it is located just a few kilometers from the center of town. Alternatively, you can take a bus or taxi from Rovinj to reach the cape.
