Sunset Café

The Sunset is the rock-and-counter-culture institution of Aix-en-Provence nightlife, an atmospheric underground cave-bar in the old town that doubles as one of the cornerstones of the city's small gay scene, and a great place to end the night. It's known for delicious cocktails, an 80-strong beer list, and an electrifying, sensual atmosphere, with a pool table, a separate smoking room, a pole-dance bar, and a dance floor tucked among the tables. Above all, it's loved for its wildly fun themed nights: pirate, superhero, Shrek, angels-and-demons, goth, where dressing for the occasion earns you a free drink, and the whole crowd plays along.
