Saunawerk

Saunawerk is Frankfurt's flagship gay sauna, a modern men-only spa near the university in the Nordend, behind a deliberately unmarked facade, a couple of minutes from the Holzhausenstraße U-Bahn. It centers on an 11-meter heated pool with a waterfall and color-changing lights, beside a whirlpool, backed by a Finnish sauna with automatic infusions, an aroma steam bath, a starry-sky hammam, and a bio-sauna, plus a bar, TV lounge, and a sunny outdoor terrace. A cruising landscape of darkrooms, cinemas and cabins runs alongside the wellness side, hosting weekly Friday foam parties and monthly bear and nudist nights. Clean, friendly and busy, with famously warm staff, it's a favorite across the Rhine-Main region.
