Die Insel

Die Insel is Münster's gay sauna, a surprisingly large, roughly 1,000-square-meter men's complex over several levels in the bike-and-student city of Münster. It offers four to five saunas ranging from 38 to 90 degrees with regular aroma infusions, a steam room, a swimming pool, a sun terrace, an upstairs fitness corner, rest and video rooms, and a bar-bistro with a small kitchen, free soup on Wednesdays, and a salad buffet on Fridays. Alongside the wellness side, there's a full cruising area with themed play zones, slings and a darkroom, and free condoms throughout. Clean, friendly, and welcoming with a mixed crowd from twinks to bears, it's a relaxed all-evening spot and the social heart of the local scene, hosting regular fetish parties and special events.
