Il Fico d'India

Il Fico d'India, "the prickly pear," is the main gay bar and nightclub in Cagliari and the flagship gay summer event for all of Sardinia, a vibrant chiringuito right on the beautiful Poetto beachfront, tucked between the sea and the Molentargius wildlife park. Run by Rainbow Group and recently under dynamic new management, it comes alive from June to early September with drag shows, cabaret, karaoke, DJ sets, and live entertainment by the sea, drawing the hottest crowd on the island. In winter, it transforms into a charming sunset restaurant serving good local seafood, with themed nights and drag aperitifs. Warm, friendly, and reasonably priced, with lovely staff and delicious cocktails and snacks, it's an unmissable Sardinian institution.
