On Halstraat, Café de Halte has been part of Breda's gay life since 1967 - the city's very first gay venue, and still going strong as a cosy café with a club vibe. Sociable and laid-back early on, it builds into a livelier, dancier night towards the weekend, open late Thursday through Sunday. A characterful piece of local LGBTQ+ history that's still very much alive.
