Madalena

Madalena is a lively little bar right on Largo da Madalena, the small central square that is the heart of Faro's gay nightlife, next to the Prestige dance club. Open for around seven years and a genuine local fixture, it's a relaxed, characterful spot for a drink that regularly turns up the energy with DJ collectives, guest sets, and party nights. Gay-friendly and mixed, in the liberal Algarve capital, it makes an easy warm-up (or wind-down) on the same square as the city's main gay club.
