Praia do Canavial

If you are looking for a little more seclusion and peace and quiet while visiting the gay beaches of Portugal's Algarve region, we recommend dropping towel at Praia do Canavial. This dramatic, beautiful beach is just outside of Lagos, close to Ponta da Piedade. The long and narrow beach is surrounding by towering limestone cliffs, so the walk down can be a little steep and caution is advised. 

This was one of the first beaches in the Algarve region to attract a gay crowd, and during the summer months it is said that roughly a third of the beachgoers are LGBTQ+. So find out for yourself and drop towel here, it's secluded vibes my make for some intimate encounters.
