Aqualis

Aqualis is one of Bern's two gay saunas, a roughly 600-square-meter club in the Mattenhof quarter, an easy reach from the center. It offers a Finnish sauna, a large steam bath, a whirlpool, a plunge pool, a solarium, and relaxation rooms alongside a fuller cruising side, private cabins, a maze, a darkroom, slings and glory holes, plus a bar-bistro with food and massage on offer. Friday is its big night, with a themed party from around 11 pm, from sneakers to naked and fist nights, and it draws a relaxed, mixed-age crowd that keeps it sociable rather than intense.
