Sathorn Sauna

Sathon Sauna is a clean, simple, old-school gay sauna in Bangkok's Sathon district, more a friendly social institution than a cruise venue. Its centerpiece is a big, genuinely hot Finnish-style dry sauna, backed by real cold and warm plunge pools outside, an outdoor fitness area, a small restaurant serving Thai food, and traditional massage. Free water, ice, tea, fruit, towels, pants and shoes mean you can turn up with nothing, and the warm, helpful staff make newcomers welcome even across a language barrier. It draws mostly local Thai gay men plus a few Asian visitors who come to relax and make friends rather than for the cruising found elsewhere.
