Sauna MACHO

Macho is a large, well-kept gay sauna on the Thonburi side of the river near Bang Yi Khan MRT, the main bathhouse for west Bangkok and a handy stop near the Pata Pinklao mall. Spread over five floors plus a rooftop, it has changing rooms, a gym, and showers on the lower levels; air-conditioned private cabins and a TV lounge in the middle; a large cruising area up top; and a roof garden with a bar and free cold water. Clean, simple, and affordable, it draws a mostly local Thai crowd of mixed ages and builds, best in the early evening, with underwear-and-naked theme nights throughout the week. Few foreigners make it out here, which is part of the appeal for those wanting a genuinely local scene.
