The Phoenix is an independent, queer-owned pub at the entrance to Bristol's Old Market gay village—a warm, welcoming urban local that's been part of the city's pub scene since 1850 and under LGBTQ+ ownership since 2010. Set in an eclectic design space with a genuinely lovely decked beer garden, it pours Bristol's own New Bristol Brewery lager and 6 O'Clock Gin as house drinks alongside a big range of local and imported drafts, cocktails and gourmet pub food, with Sunday roasts a particular draw. Family-friendly and dog-friendly with a relaxed, chilled-out vibe, it hosts regular community events, quizzes, cabaret, gay bingo, and the monthly indie-pop LGBTQ+ night "Don't Tell Your Mother," and offers free venue hire for gatherings. A friendly, inclusive cornerstone of the Old Market queer scene.
