Precinct DTLA

Precinct is the largest LGBTQ+ bar and nightclub in Downtown LA, a sprawling second-floor "rock & roll gay bar where everyone's welcome," opened in 2015 in a building that was once a parole office (hence the name; it's about neighborhood, not cops). Its massive layout packs in a full bar, a huge dance floor and performance stage, and a wraparound terrace with skyline views, hosting a nonstop calendar of drag shows, DJ nights, go-go dancers, themed parties and a beloved Sunday drag brunch. Refreshingly free of the West Hollywood clone scene, it pulls together bears, leather lovers, pop fans, hipsters and misfits into one high-energy, genuinely diverse crowd, with tasty, affordable bar food served late. The anchor of DTLA's emerging gayborhood, it's one of the city's defining queer nightlife spots.
