Club San Diego

Club San Diego is the city's only gay bathhouse, a Hillcrest institution of more than four decades set discreetly on Fourth Avenue, a block off the University Avenue nightlife strip. Recently remodeled after a fire, it spans a couple of levels and features around 50 private rooms, a steam room, a dry sauna, a multi-player hot tub, a gym, TV lounges, maze-like cruise hallways, and a smoking room with a pool table. Central, clean, and open around the clock from Friday through the weekend, it draws a hard-bodied, younger, and military-leaning crowd, and is busiest on weekend evenings.
