Uproar

Uproar is Washington's gay bear bar, a three-level lounge and restaurant in the Shaw and U Street area that opened in January 2016. The ground floor is a relaxed pub; the upper floors add DJs and a rooftop deck, and the calendar features bear nights, beer busts, karaoke, drag, and themed events like Dungeons & Daddies. Small plates and bar food make it easy to settle in, and the crowd is friendly and welcoming to everyone, not just bears.
