"In this Covid period where everything is not at their normal functionality, we were greeted by a virtual front desk clerk. Room 105 is well situated as a bit more privacy than the rest. Is the only room with a balcony with a table and chair so you can gaze on the park across the street and see the St-Lawrence. Breakfast was prepared daily and left in our fridge sometime during the afternoon. All in all a very nice small hotel. Would go back in a blink without hesitation. This being said, here a few things that would be revisited: the bathroom has a dip in the floor and it was simply covered by a floating floor, makes lots of noise that is waking up the sleeping beauty next to you. The shower stall chosen is too small. Would benefit in having an oblong version rather the 1/4 circle. It's so small that you cannot take a shower without hitting the glass panels. It makes the doors open (they are very easy on the rollers) and make a watermess on the floor. This 2 things should be reviewed asap."

"This tastefully decorated facility is centrally located to many cultural activities one might wish to experience, as well as being nearby many dining and entertainment venues. But enough cannot be said about the hospitality and graciousness of the entire staff! Warm and cheerful greetings welcome everyone as they enter the lobby and foyer. It was my pleasure to learn that the hospitality of the multicultural staff was equal to the breadth and number of languages with which they commanded fluently. Every member of the staff I encountered were eager to be of assistance despite the hour or nature of my queries."

"The experience we had at the Diplomat Inn EXCEEDED all expectations!! First of all you must be able to tolerate a minimalist approach. That said you will have a GREAT STAY! The room we had was bright white and no wall décor of any kind. We were in a twin queen, walk in shower. Second what I thought was unusual, and Wei thought of as being back home in China, the floor was all polished, cultured marble in the halls, lobby and room. BE CAREFUL as it tends to be somewhat slippery when wet! Plus Side: 1) The cost was the most reasonable in our travel experiences! We definitely would return to this site hands down!!!! 2) The bed was very comfortable!! (We only needed one.) 3) Endless hot water at excellent pressure. We note this because it's not always the case. Down Side: The room is scheduled for renovation. The heater/AC definitely needs it as it leaks condensation all over the floor. The hair dryer didn't work. "
