Alan·4·Jan. 2026· "I stayed here for about a week and overall was very happy with the apartment and the value for money. The price was excellent for Buenos Aires, and the building feels modern and secure. The rooftop pool and gym are a big plus, and I liked having a proper kitchen so I could cook when I didn’t feel like going out.
San Telmo is an interesting, historic neighborhood with a lot of character. Plaza Dorrego and Calle Defensa are an easy walk and absolutely worth exploring – antique shops, street art, cafés, markets, and plenty of people-watching. There’s also a hop-on hop-off bus stop nearby in front of the Museo de Arte Moderno, which was useful for sightseeing.
One thing to be aware of: most group tours in Buenos Aires do **not** pick up in San Telmo, so you’ll probably need to use Uber or a taxi to get to the typical meeting points (usually Centro, Recoleta, or Palermo). Not a deal-breaker, but good to know when you’re planning.
The apartment itself was clean and matched the photos. My only real comfort issue was the bed – the mattress was much firmer than I prefer, though some people might like that. The bathroom has only an **overhead (rain-style) shower**, not a handheld one, which I personally don’t love, but the **water pressure was very good** and there was plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi worked well. The TV/Netflix instructions in the PDF guide were slightly out of date, but with a little trial and error I got everything working.
For practical stuff:
* I drank the **tap water** in the apartment the whole time with **no problems**, so in case you’re wondering, it’s safe to drink.
* Make sure you have ************, because Diego (the building super) uses it to coordinate check-in and let you into the apartment.
* Laura, the owner, was kind and helpful, and the PDF guide she sends has a lot of useful information. If you need to reach her quickly, I recommend texting her directly, because she may not always see in-app messages right away.
I also recommend buying a **round-trip ticket from the official taxi stand at Ezeiza Airport**. The price for the round trip to San Telmo was very reasonable for about a 30-minute ride each way and it was completely hassle-free.
One logistic issue that’s worth mentioning: many international flights into Buenos Aires arrive very early in the morning (before check-in) and depart late at night (long after check-out). In my case I had to be out of the apartment at 10 a.m., but my airport taxi wasn’t coming until 5 p.m. I used an app called **Radical Storage** to find a nearby hotel that stored my bags for about six hours, and that worked perfectly. I highly recommend it if you have a similar gap between check-out and your flight.
Buenos Aires itself is a fantastic city and I always felt welcome; people were very friendly. I speak Spanish, but I had to adapt quickly to the local use of *vos* instead of *tú*. Food is obviously a matter of taste, but I personally found a lot of restaurant options fairly expensive and a bit bland, so I ended up cooking quite a lot in the apartment. Definitely try **alfajores** while you’re here, though – those were a highlight.
In summary: a solid, comfortable base in San Telmo at a great price, with helpful hosts and good building amenities. Just be aware of the firm bed, the overhead-only shower, the need to Uber to most tour meeting points, and the early-arrival/late-departure timing issue, and you’ll likely have a very good stay here.

They showed me around the neighborhood, and recommended some of their favorite spots. The flat was very conveniently located, only a couple of minutes walk to gay venues in the Vauxhall area. The flat is on a side street away from all the road noises and was very quiet all day round. I will stay in their places again without any hesitation."

The apartment is fantastic, and as a smoker, that beautiful terrace-garden was a dream come true! The room and the bed are very comfortable, and I also enjoyed the shared space.

The accommodations are exactly as advertised and they could not do enough to make me feel at home. We had great conversations and an all around great time. Pineapple Harbour est un véritable petit bijou. La maison se trouve dans un quartier sécurisé, calme et pourtant proche de tout : un combo parfait pour des vacances réussies.
Gaetan... quelle rencontre ! Il vous accueille avec un cœur immense, une énergie positive et une authenticité rare. Dès les premières secondes, on se sent comme chez un ami de longue date. Le contact est fluide, sincère, chaleureux. Il est présent, à l’écoute, toujours prêt à aider, mais sait aussi parfaitement vous laisser votre espace. Un hôte comme on en croise peu.
La maison est décorée avec énormément de goût et on sent tout de suite l’amour mis dans chaque détail. Les pièces sont spacieuses, la chambre et la salle de bain impeccablement propres et super bien agencées.
L’espace extérieur... un rêve : grande piscine, jacuzzi, coin lounge ultra cosy et une belle table à manger pour profiter du soleil. Si vous voulez ajouter un peu de fun, il suffit de demander à Gaetan : matelas, bouées, ballons gonflables... tout est pensé pour que vous passiez un moment inoubliable dans la piscine.
Et que dire de l’espace garage avec sa borne d’arcade et son billard ? On retombe en enfance instantanément ! Le sling peut aussi être un vrai plus si d’autres personnes réservent en même temps que vous — cela rend l’endroit encore plus vivant et convivial.
L’emplacement est topissime : les parcs Disney à quelques minutes, Universal et Downtown Orlando à distance tout à fait raisonnable, et une quantité impressionnante de commerces autour (supermarchés, coiffeur, liquor shop, restaurants... tout, vraiment tout est à portée de main).
Je suis rentré chez moi avec l’impression d’avoir quitté un ami — c’est dire à quel point cette expérience a été marquante.
Cet endroit est vraiment EXCEPTIONNEL. Je le recommande à 200 %, les yeux fermés. Et une chose est sûre : j’y reviendrai sans hésiter !"

The rooms, amenities, and environment, all created an energy of comfort, relaxation and a place to feel at home and be as you are. Though it was my first time, it felt like a place I could go to see old friends that made you feel like close family. While Darren was not there on this visit, Gaetan was an amazing host who treated me and the other guests as his top priority. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this guesthouse."

Mike made sure I had everything I needed, gave me tips, checked in, and was a great host. The space was comfortable, clean, and welcoming.
