They were very communicative, flexible, helpful, and friendly--they gave me tips for the area, offered food, helped me fix my bag, etc. I was able to grab a bus to Lake Merritt and the closest Bart Stations without any issue. Highly recommend staying with them if you are in the area."

Karl·5·Jun. 2026· "Booked from this site by way of recommendation and could not of been happier. In London visiting and Mario's apartment was perfectly placed and equally a reasonable price point. Communications were excellent throughout, with Mario asking if he could help with my trip, also advising towels and wash products were available. Check in was simple and straightforward with an incredible view of the home of the Premiership champions and a spotless apartment. My room was simple and in good taste as was the bathroom. I slept well and bed was very comfortable even though it was a warm evening. I shared a coffee, pastry and an interesting, funny, topical conversation about travel, family and current affairs. I visit a few times a year and I hope I can return as my stay was faultless and perfect. Thank you Mario."

Vincent·5·Jun. 2026· "I am Doug's and Greg's first guest, but I know I will be the first of many. They are exceptional hosts! I wanted to stay at a BnB for a couple of days as a retreat from my regular routine. I came across their listing as they live close to where I live on the North Shore. Communication with Doug was excellent, and their listing is described accurately. I was warmly welcomed by Doug, Greg, and their two pets. Their home is beautiful, and the location is wonderful - walking distance to the center of town. I stayed in the room with the desk. The bed was very comfortable. I took advantage of breakfast both mornings, and we went out to dinner one evening at a great Italian restaurant.
What I especially enjoyed was our conversations as we shared our journeys and life in general. I now have two new friends - four, if you include their pets. :-) If you are looking for a place to stay in Swampscott or the surrounding towns such as Salem, Beverly, or Marblehead, they are all easy to get to from their place. I should add the Swampscott commuter rail is a 10 minute walk from their house and gets to Boston in under 1/2 hour. Thanks, gentlemen, for making my stay so much fun! I highly recommend staying with them!"

Eddie·5·Jun. 2026· "Super quiet neighborhood. Everything on his profile is accurate. I started off in my day in the pool and ended up in the jacuzzi. I'd say it's way more spacious. He really was an amazing host. He has clearance from the county for when it comes to hosting and food. Bed felt amazing. Went to bed happy and relaxed. And the puppers are also so nice. John the host got up early to make me breakfast before I left to work which was way more than expected. Food was delicious AND a to go travel cup for my coffee/espresso concoction. Highly recommend."
