I didn't have any interactions with Diego or other guests in person but Diego was very responsive via message and the staff at the property were extremely kind. Not especially gay, but certainly gay friendly. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very clean and well kept."

Antony·5·Feb. 2026· "I extended my stay at Hitchcock Retreat for an additional day because I had a slight change of plan in London. David accommodated my last-minute request quickly. I left the house early in the morning - just before 7 a.m to catch a train. David was already up and we got the opportunity to say goodbye to each other. It's the perfect ending to my stay in London. Although I needed to catch my train in quite a rush, the morning walk to the Leytonstone tube station was a little cold but refreshing in the drizzle, reminding me again the lovely neighbourhood and what a fantastic time I had in London - with Hitchcock Retreat being a very important part of it."

Radu·5·Jul. 2026· "I had a great stay overall. The host was super friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with before my arrival. Check-in was very convenient, and the flexible late check-out was much appreciated.
The apartment is lovely, modern, and finished to a high standard. The quality of the flat is really impressive. The bed was very comfortable with a great mattress, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days in June. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything you need to cook, including a coffee machine with capsules and some breakfast items provided by the host. Everything, including the bathroom and shower, was spotlessly clean.
The location is also very good. It’s next to a Lidl, within walking distance of the metro (or a short bus ride), and there are several nice places to eat nearby.
The only downside was that the city tax (€9.50 per person per night) was not mentioned in the Misterb&b listing. For a longer stay, this becomes quite a significant extra cost. The host only informed me about it two days before check-in being already on travel.. It would have been better if this had been clearly stated in the listing from the beginning. Also, payment was requested in ********, but there was no card terminal available, so I was asked to create a ******** account or make a bank transfer instead, which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall, despite the issue with the city tax and payment method, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this apartment for its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent host."

And there is a lovely kitchen, you can have water, juice, milk and coffee over there. Also has some breads and croissants. Besides, the location is very good, you can very conveniently get all over the city, even from train station. I will still stay here if I come to visit Florence again."
