Finn retlef·5·Jul. 2025· "A wonderful place with skilled and pleasant hosts who made the stay completely uncomplicated and pleasant. The house is really beautifully decorated with a sense of fine design details. We slept wonderfully in the rural silence, got sun on our buttocks, swam in the pool, relaxed in the jacuzzi, drank cold white wine on the sun loungers and went to the nearby fantastic nude beach one day. Good local restaurants a few kilometers away and a good starting point for excursions."

Sebastien·5·Aug. 2026· "Casa Alquimia is simply a little paradise on earth. Everything was perfect. The apartment is magnificent, modern and clean. It is fully equipped. What can we say about the outdoors... the view is breathtaking, the pool is wonderfully pleasant. You'll have the chance to admire the stars by the fire pit while sipping a glass of wine. As for João and Miguel, they take great care of you, responsive, helpful and adorable. We will return with the greatest pleasure."

Darienne·5·Apr. 2026· "Natalee is absolutely the BEST host you could EVER ask for in using a b&b. Her communication throughout was AMAZING. You could not ask for more. I am not technically savvy when it comes to using electronics and could not operate the tv. She answered my phone call immediately and walked me through the steps in using an Apple TV for the first time. She stayed on the phone with me until I had it figured out. STAY at Natalee's you won't be sorry!!! 6 ⭐"

Blakesley·5·Sep. 2019· "We were very much in need of a vacation and honestly, if we were ever to go back to Curacao, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else other than here. Cindy and David are excellent hosts. We ended up getting to Curacao late due to airline issues and they were very accommodating. The place is stunning and even though it has air conditioning, you really won't need it much. The bay doors open and we spent a few days doing absolutely nothing except enjoy the accommodations. I couldn't be happier!"

Jensen·5·Mar. 2018· "The best thing about this place is the host: Cameron. He couldn't have been more helpful or courteous. A very sweet man. Example, one night 2 of the 4 of us got locked out. Ringing the bell, thinking to wake our friends, we awakened Cameron at 4am! We late comers were mortified, but Cameron actually apologized for being so bleary eyed when he let us in! And this man has a VERY demanding job which he had to go to the next morning. Ya got to love Australians, they are so nice. The main bedroom is excellent and the AC functions well for the whole place. The second bedroom is not for the tall, since the ceiling is at an angle. A little cramped. But I didn't have problems with it and slept quite comfortably. I wanted extra pillows and got them. A nice park across from this row house. Plenty of buses are near by and the light rail/train station is about 15 minutes walk (and if you catch one of the frequent trains, it is about 15 minutes to the opera house/harbor). I liked Newtown which I found very gay friendly, even if there are no specific gay bars (The Bank is the closest to one). I just happened to go to one bar/restaurant, the Jamaican Inn, by chance for a beer and a sandwich. Next thing I knew it these cute straight guys were beckoning me over for a chat and a beer--on them (a rum chaser too :). The bartender also bought me a beer saying "this is Mardi Gras!" Newtown is a very friendly community. Lots of vegetarian and Thai restaurants. WiFi and television worked perfectly. "
